In 2022, NHHC set up the North Wales Hockey Academy. Since its creation, we have been recognised for our efforts by the national governing body, Hockey Wales, as well as featuring in the Hockey Paper (https://www.thehockeypaper.co.uk/) and receiving an award from Mercian Hockey (https://mercianhockey.com) for our outstanding youth sports initiative.

As well as obvious benefits for our own club members, the role of the Academy is to promote hockey to the wider community and attract new players to the sport. Also we are unwavering in our support for young players from across North Wales and not just from our local area.

Our events are open to everyone: we offer professional coaching in groups tailored to individual skill levels. Due to the environment we create and the level of coaching we provide, many of our young players have represented North Wales at U13, U15, U16 and
U18 levels and several have progressed to represenSng Wales; we are enormously proud of their achievements.
